The grand banquet of building steel structure
        
Since reform and opening, China has made tremendous achievements in economy. During this period ,the output of the steel increasing from 100,000,000tons in 1996 to 280,000,000tons in2004,has top to the world's No.1.In the meantime, building steel accounted for 20%-25% of the total steel output in China。For the developed country，the figure is more than 30%, especially USA\Japan is even more than 50%.
        
Today China's building industry costs too much steel, which has become the main consumer of the steel. As the real estate industry is becoming more and more prosperous and is established as a new supporting industry. It will bring the building steel structure a more wide and splendid future. But on the other hand, the products and technology still can not meet the demand. 
        
In 2001, approved by State Economy & Trade Commission, M.O.C regarded "Developing and Application of The Light Steel Structure Residential Building General System" as a break point and listed it in the national key tech innovation projects formally. In 2002, M.O.C began to compile " Direction of The Steel Structure Residence Industrialization ".
        
In order to keep up with this trend and meet the demand, CCMSA and China Architectural Culture Center co-sponsored the 5th China Building Steel Structure Exhibition in order to push building steel structure's development, to demonstrate new tech\new products\. Also we will invite some experts in the field to discuss the subjects concerned.
